Ahhhh....the Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets (to multiple viewings) have been bought, the new trailer has been seen (two to three hundred times), and the galaxy is ready...to ROCK. Behold...the awesomeness is here. Can December 17th (and 18th) just arrive already?
It could have been a disaster.....alas, it was not! We were able to procure Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets for December 17th and the 18th! Watch the video below of me, trying to simply buy the tickets at the movie theater. I was in full-on panic mode, as none of the employees seemed to have any idea of what was going on, when the tickets were to be released, or what any of the Star Wars movies were even about. I'm actually not sure if they had ever heard of Star Wars. But, finally, we purchased the tickets via COMPUTERS...and all was good with the galaxy.

I am so excited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets coming out tonight that I actually went to the Monmouth Mall AMC Movie Theater and tried to purchase them a good, five hours before they're actually on sale. The husky, curly-haired, young man behind the counter looked a little frightened as I had a bad case of the Rabid Star Wars Fan Eyes. He informed me that they would be ready to be picked up around 9:30 (EST)...and that I could come back. I thanked the youngster and proceeded to run to the Disney Store like a red-headed Sith lunatic, grabbed the Kylo Ren lightsaber, and began swinging it around until I fake Force-Choked various Disney stuffed animals and left. Life is good, Star Wars fans. Real good.

East Side Dave And Son (Clearly Concerned For Dad's Mental Stability).
I'm too excited to even type straight...so if this article comes with all kinds of grammatical errors, I apologize in advance, but also, get off my back!! Sorry for yelling there. I'm just super-excited is all. For this evening on Monday Night Football (my Giants take on the Eagles in Philly, to make things even better), Disney will release the third and final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. ...And it's a humdinger, daddy! Here are a couple, quick observations from the Dave Man. First, no Luke Skywalker? I'm actually not criticizing here...each Star Wars poster is methodically thought out...so I'm asking genuinely, "What is the reason for this?" I think it's to further magnify Luke's mysterious role in the film. We assume he's gonna be an Obi-Wan Kenobi-esque mentor in The Force Awakens...but what if his part is more complex than that? Also, look to the top right corner...are we seeing a new Death Star? And if so...YES! I love Death Stars! Oh, man...as Flounder said in Animal House, "This is gonna be great!"

Yes, technically Season Two of "Star Wars Rebels" began already when they aired the episode "The Siege Of Lothal" (a one-hour special that came out in April). But now we get the regular half-hour show on a weekly basis starting TONIGHT. And after "The Siege Of Lothal", this season looks like it will destroy. All kinds of galactic awesomeness is gonna go down, daddy. And we'll be there to soak it all in. May the Force be with you.

Yes, the Cubs have won their Divisional Series against the Cardinals, and will advance to the National League Championship Series to play against either the Mets or Dodgers (their Game 5 is Thursday night). But still, you ARE allowed to change your playoff roster before each postseason series...and the Dave Man believes you should ALWAYS be looking to improve...so why not stick Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder out there for the NLCS? Third base is my thinking. People may not know, but besides being a fantastic vocalist, Eddie has a cannon for an arm. This has been an East Side DayQuil Editorial...from Davey Mac.

This goes out to all of you. Especially YOU, Nicky Eyes, Carbone, and Jimmy Two-Times. If Tommy is relaying a humorous story at the dinner table, feel free to chuckle casually. But do NOT compliment him. Do NOT tell Tommy that he's "a funny guy." He will get upset...and your whole, nice evening will devolve into one of tension and awkwardness. Hopefully you've seen one of the Coen Brothers' cinematic masterpieces, Fargo. And if you DID see that film, I believe you would have loved Season One of "Fargo", the TV series (which the Coen Brothers did produce). Well, tonight, we begin Season Two...and one review I read called it the show of the year. You betcha. Check it out then. Ya!
