If you haven't seen them yet, the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly has exclusive photos of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and this movie keeps looking better and better. What's the superlative of awesome? Awesome-er? Awesome-est? Whatever it is, this latest Star Wars looks it! I particularly like the character of General Hux, who is played by a red-headed actor named Domhnall Gleeson. I'm sure Mr. Gleeson will do a fine job......but maybe for the next Star Wars, Disney and Lucasfilm can go with another auburn-haired thespian, Sir East Side Dave McDonald! I've got the evilness to be a perfect commander in the Empire! Later!

On a hot, lazy Sunday such as today...the Dave Man has been known to watch...and this probably seems hard to believe...one of the Star Wars films. This evening, we're going with 1983's Return Of The Jedi. Watch the movie as Luke Skywalker emerges as the greatest Jedi of all time. That's right, I said it. With Luke's heroics in Jedi, I believe him to be the best who ever lived. Why? He did what Obi-Wan Kenobi could not do, he turned Darth Vader back into the good Anakin Skywalker. And in doing so, he accomplished what even Yoda himself could not...a total destruction of the Emperor. Those two feats alone make Luke stand apart from the rest of the Jedi Knights. Also, his black outfit in Jedi looks badass. He could fight some Sith, and then sing at a Judas Priest concert if he wanted to. THAT'S being strong with the Force, dogsie. This has been an "East Side" Dave Kenobi Star Wars-itorial. Good day.
"East Side" Dave will be at Builders General today in Freehold, giving away free propane, from 9 - 11 AM with WRAT 95.9FM.....THEN we're heading to Straub GNC in Keyport from 2:30 to 4:30 PM to perhaps give away a car! Come on by and say hello! I'll try not to bite......but NO promises!!
Let us succumb to the Dark Side of the Force if we so choose. Or, we could stay with the Light Side. Either way, and I think we all agree on this, we need to chop some Sand People's heads off. They are a menace. So as long as we do some Sand People decapitations, I see nothing wrong with unwinding and having a grand time this weekend. Peace out, dogsie.

Oh, golly, we had a smackin' good time! We talked about so much stuff that I can barely remember what we discussed! But maybe that's because I gave myself a concussion recently. Or perhaps it's the Ether rags. Or maybe someone erased my memory, the way that space-hole Uncle Owen wanted Luke Skywalker to have R2-D2's droid-brain reset. I may be more concussed than usual today. After suffering a massive head injury on Saturday, I decided to go on roller coasters yesterday with the offspring. While we had a great time, what's left of my brains feel like they are swimming the backstroke in my dented skull. Still, it was worth it, doctor. The Dave Man LOVES himself some Six Flags Great Adventure. Have a great day.......and if you see a red-headed gentleman with a large bandage on his face, shouting at himself on the sidewalk.....worry not......that's what I would be doing even if I didn't injure my head. Oh, heck yes, daddy! We journeyed to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey yesterday and crushed the holy pee out of it. We took Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck as our theme park prisoners and demanded that they provide maximum fun. And those two cartoon-freaks did not let us down. Roller coasters were ridden. The safari was explored. And, indeed, FUN was had. Thanks, Great Adventure!

I should never do chores. While taking out the garbage a couple of days ago, I smashed my head and blood went everywhere. Since then, I have been acting stranger than usual...and am now starting to wonder if I concussed myself. Probably. Will this sort of thing keep David on the sidelines? Heck to the no.
