Don't worry......I won't give any spoilers here if you aren't caught up on HBO's brilliant series, "True Detective". I will tell you, however, that EVERYONE dies. OK. Now that we're past that little spoiler, let's talk turkey. I'm loving this season. The acting, once again, has been insanely supreme. It's probably the best performances of every actor's career. This Sunday is the hour-and-a-half finale, and the Dave Man will be watching through a sinister cloud of smoke with an animal mask on......have a nice day!

I'm still not over this loss of my favorite wrestler ever- "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.....and I shan't be for quite some time. ...Damn, homie. First, we lose Dusty Rhodes. And then, my personal favorite of all time, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper departs this Earth?! Come on, God! Enough already! The Dave Man insists "enough!"
Anyway, in Roddy Piper, no wrestler was better on the mic, no wrestler was more fascinating in and out of the ring to watch, no wrestler was as entertaining as the "Hot Rod". From the kilt, to the bagpipes, to Piper's Pit, to his legendary feuds with Hulk Hogan, and more, Roddy was simply the greatest. If Hogan became the ultimate good guy of wrestling, the Luke Skywalker of the then-WWF, then Piper was clearly its Darth Vader. He was utterly superb. God speed, Roddy! Somewhere in Heaven, I'm sure you're shaving Adrian Adonis' head as we speak! Peace!

I love Friendship Day. It's a day where we celebrate friendship. And so, I'd like to give a special Internet hug to my galactic buddy, Boba Fett......or as I call him.....BESTIE Fett. Hahahahah!!
...Just kidding. I don't really call him that. In fact, we barely know each other. I mean, we've spoken a few times on Facebook...you know...little messages here and there...."Hey, Boba! Yesterday was RatFest 2015 (presented by WRAT, 95.9 FM), starring the Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson...and it rocked the teeth out of a shark, daddy. In fact, your radio superhero, Sir "East Side" Dave McDonald (or to those in the comic book world: The Dave Man), received ZERO sleep. That's correct. But fear not. For superheroes ALWAYS answer the call. We head to 7-11 at 4:35 in the morning and get the largest vat of Coca-Cola Slurpee that can probably satisfy a Hutt, and we drink that baby down in fifteen seconds. Then, we hit an industrial bag of Sour Patch Kids and- BOOM - we're ready to rock. See you today on 95.9 The RAT with Carl & Dave.

And remember the nice, furry Wampa in Episode V who was dismembered by Luke after hanging Skywalker in his snow-cave? I'm guessing these guys didn't think the lightsaber was very "civilized." The Dave Man is outta here! Today begins Davey Mac's California Adventure where we are headed to Los Angeles for the Disneyland 60th Anniversary, an expedition to Universal Studios, a visit to my birthplace of Newport Beach, and more! It also means that I intend on riding Star Tours (the official Star Wars ride) so many times that I expect to gain enough Force-lightning in my fingers to electrocute a whale. Not that I would. With more and more details emerging from Comic Con about the Suicide Squad movie, we have gotten our hands on a possible picture of The Joker. And he looks crazier than a jail-house rat. Look at those frightening eye-balls...they scream insanity louder than a drunken hockey fan cheering on his team. And that smile...why that thing is creepier than a Rom-Com viewing with Bill Cosby as your date. Thumbs up, new Joker! We approve!
Yeah, I'm rocking all week with our radio show, Carl & Dave (and Gotts) on New Jersey's famous WRAT, 95.9 The RAT at 6 AM (EST)! And then on Friday at noon, we take to the air and fly straight to L.A.! If you're at Disneyland, meet up with me on the Star Tours line, as I expect to go on that ride at least forty-thrice times (I don't know if you know...but I'm a big Star Wars fan).
