The Dave Man, who apparently would like to talk about himself in the third person in this article, would love to thank 95.9 The RAT for having me in all last week (Aug. 4 - 8) to co-host with the excellent Carl Craft on the Morning Rat Race!!  It was a damned blast!!  The only thing that would have made it even more fun is if I wasn't wearing pants........ok, ok......you got me......I actually wasn't wearing pants.  But I was adorning one of those fashionable Adam & Eve leaf outfits that made me as cozy as a duck sleeping in my bed!  Anyway, thanks again to the RAT and Carl Craft and Greater Media, I had an awesome time!  Check out 95.9 The RAT's site by clicking here!  Peace!!

Fred Savage Vs. Stephen A. Smith Vs. Dave McDonald

If you follow my glorious Twitter account (Twitter.com/EastSideDave), you'll notice that I sometimes enjoy prodding various celebrities.  Recently, I noticed that The Wonder Years' s Fred Savage was going hard after ESPN's opinionated windbag, Stephen A. Smith.  Smith had implied that sometimes it is the fault of the woman in wife-beating cases.  Mr. Savage took exception to this.  What did celebrated columnist "East Side" Dave McDonald do?  He wrote this tweet:

The point in showing you that inspiring tweet was to demonstrate that, in fact, I am one of the great peace-brokers of our time.  Fred Savage and Stephen A. Smith know it.  And now you know it.  If there is a truce to be made, Davey Mac is on the case.  I mean, don't trust me with anything important.  I shan't be headed over to the Middle East any time soon.  I prefer to do my peace-brokering with third-rate sportswriters and former kid actors.  If only Mike Lupica and Screech could get into a fight...that'd be the Greatest Day Of My Fucking Life.  Adios!!

You know, call me crazy but I wouldn't mind a total and complete Artificial Intelligence take-over of the planet Earth.  Why?  I treat my computer and phone with the utmost respect...what do I have to fear?  It's the people who treat their gadgets like shit who should be worried.  But me?  I've been known to caress blenders, tickle calculators, and even have sexual intercourse with certain extension cords.  I love gizmo's.  Maybe I can be their King when the shit goes down!

The Dodgers just announced that legendary, no fuck that, immortal broadcaster Vin Scully will be back for his 66th year as play-by-play man for the team.  Scully is, quite simply, the second greatest American sportscaster ever...only behind yours truly (my "work" in the Canadian Wiffle Ball League for the Toronto Shit-Hats is Hall of Fame-worthy).  Congrats, Vin!!
